This series of illustrations is an exploration into the art of tattooing and serves as a compilation of various designs I have been commissioned to create over recent years.

 

When designing tattoos and ink illustrations, my subject matter tends to emphasize the points of contrast and harmony between people and their natural environments. Though each illustration was completed as a singular work, each piece in the series is connected by theme, line weight, minimal shading, and the occasional pop of bright red. The simplicity of these works required that I be precise in my execution, as well as collaborative

with the tattoo artists who have adapted my work.
